02/23/2023 – Bolt is feeling great, and his kennel cough is all cleared up. The vet said he is ready to meet his furever family. He would most likely do well in a home with older kids that would run and play with him. He doesn’t react to children on bikes when he goes for a walk and does quite well on a leash. He doesn’t show any signs of aggression when walking by other dogs and was perfectly fine with the other dogs in the waiting room at the vet.
Bolt is crate trained, but he barks if he is crated for extended periods. He loves stuffed squeaky toys, and he is gentle with them. He is super snuggly and especially loves morning cuddles. Foster Mom said he is easy to get along with and extremely easy to love.

02/07/2023 – olt was surrendered to the shelter because his family no longer had time for him. The shelter contacted us to ask for help in getting him placed into a foster home. Bolt caught a nasty case of kennel cough, and due to the stress of being there, his condition wasn’t improving. When one of the angels came to pick him up, the shelter said they saw his boxer mannerisms in full force. He was 100% wiggling his butt, and his personality really shined.

Foster Mom is enjoying getting to know him, and she said he has been catching up on some much-needed rest. He enjoys  cuddling up for snuggles on the couch and is easy to love.

We aren’t sure how Bolt gets along with other animals. He did have a run-in with his reflection in the sliding glass, and after some grumbles and confusion, he moved on.

Bolt is finishing up his last couple of days on the antibiotic, and once the vet clears him, he will be ready to be adopted. He is already neutered and fully vaccinated.
