Our Foster Dogs are always in need of supplies.
01/20/24 – Crixus’ vetting is complete, and he is ready to find his furever family! He did so well at the vet’s office that his foster mom and aunt took him to the pet store. He was a perfect gentleman in the store and “talked” to everyone and everything he passed. Crixus is a very vocal dog who often voices his opinion but is not much of a barker. Don’t let his age fool you because this guy LOVES going for walks, and he recently went to the dog park, where he played hard with the other dogs. When he gets tired, he is ready to lay in the sun for a bit and then snuggle up with his family on the couch. Foster Mom said he is the sweetest dog you could ask for and would easily fit into just about anyone’s family. He would love to find a family that has a fenced backyard with some children or a fur sibling to play with.
01/06/2024 – Crixus (pronounced KRIK-suss) is named after a Gallic gladiator and military leader. (Don’t tell him this but we think he is more gentle, snuggly, and sweet than he is fierce.) He is a mellow, mild-mannered guy who rides well in the car and walks great on a leash. Crixus was totally relaxed when meeting the resident dog, and after a couple of mutual sniffs of each other, he was ready to wander the house.
He is an easy-going dog that is happy to get love and attention, but he’s also content just napping on his bed or snuggling up next to you on the couch. Crixus knows basic commands and is house-trained. He does not need to be crated when left alone, but he does have a crate that he occasionally will go into on his own to take naps throughout the day. He likes other dogs and loves kids and people. Check back soon to learn more about him as we get to know him better.
