01/09/2022 – Hi! This is Exo checking in!
Boy, I have so many things to tell you! I have learned to play with toys and now I even instigate toy play and tugs. My 3 foster sisters have taught me all about going outside to take care of my business and they have taught me how to do ZOOMIES in the fenced back yard. With all this exercise I am getting muscles and all my fat is gone. My foster sisters can wear me out so I’m glad to have a comfy crate where I can go rest.
I am learning to eat real dog food with a little topper on it and I’m learning to walk on a leash. I have learned so much about being outside! Remember I was kept inside 24/7 so I didn’t have any outside experiences. I am a little scared by the barking of small dogs but not my foster sisters’ barks. The little kids next door screaming when they play in the pool scares me because I was yelled at so much in my prior life, but my foster parents are helping me with that. It was windy the other day and the wind scared me but the golfers going by in their carts are fine! We are also working on new people coming into the house. I am learning so much and loving every minute of it!
My Mom had bad health issues and she couldn’t take care of me so the Angels at BRAF were contacted to help. I’m now in a foster home with three other boxers and it is so great to have playmates! I never had training and was kept inside 24/7 so I’m learning to take care of my business outside. My foster sisters are being good examples and my foster parents are helping me to feel comfortable and starting to train me. I am a smart boy and I will learn quickly!
I have never had any toys and didn‘t know how to play with them. One of my foster sisters brought me a toy, then later I picked it up and ran with it. Before long we were playing tug and we had so much fun! I’m going to learn a great deal here. I did my first zoomies today! It was great to just run free in a safe fenced back yard.
I’d never been in a crate before but it’s comfortable and my safe place to rest when I get tired of playing. Did I mention I love children and I’m very gentle with them. I don’t lick faces or jump up on people but I will give gentle Boxer kisses and hugs if you’d like! I am quite polite!
I’ve been to the vet and ready for my forever home! I’m looking for a Boxer savvy family who will continue to help me learn everything I need to know to be the best Boxer ever, along with another dog and a fenced yard for us to play and run zoomies. You can’t imagine how much fun it is to have doggie friends and be able to run in a yard after being kept inside my whole life. If there are children in my new home that would be a bonus!
I can’t wait to meet you so please ask for Exo when you fill out your BRAF application. See you soon!
